Steelasophical Steel Band DJ is a unique musical entertainment service based in the UK. We were one of the first to have the concept of a steel drummer performing along with quality backing music, and today we have now pioneered the Steelband Dj, a band and quality Dj service combined. This means 3 options 1/ Steelband 2/ Dj, PA and Lighting Service 3/ Quality Dj service with moer than 30,000 songs in 14 genres, including Soca, Reggae, Calypso, African, Latin, Motown, POP, MOR, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s.

Awards
At the end of 2019, Steelasophical was awarded its 6th entertainment industry award. Crowned Best Caribbean Music Entertainment Company UK by Lux Life Magazine. Steelasophical is also known for a winning TV performance on Come Dine With Me, Music track used in the James Bond 007 movie casino Royale, and music albums selling would wide in over 42 countries.

Steel pan musicians are called pannists. The modern pan is a chromatically pitched percussion instrument made from 55 gallon industrial drums that formerly contained chemicals. Drum refers to the steel drum containers from which the pans are made; the steel drum is more correctly called a steel pan or pan as it falls into the idiophone family of instruments, and so is not a drum (which is a membranophone).
